Tuesdays on the Hudson!

Spend your summer Tuesdays in Fort Edward! With both daytime and happy hour activities, there’s enough to keep you busy all day long. Explore Fort Edward’s downtown and Rogers Island by bike and foot, kayak the Hudson River, indulge in free yoga, and enjoy specials at our wonderful restaurants, brewery, and guest vendors available on Tuesdays in July and August.

Mooring at the Yacht Basin

Calling all boaters! The Village of Fort Edward has great amenities for boaters passing through who want to spend a few nights in town, check out our local businesses, and recharge before continuing on their journey. Boaters can moor free for 2 nights/3 days, access free electrical hookups and water supply, and there are restrooms with showers available as well.

Canal Street Marketplace

The Canal Street Marketplace Farmers Market is a Fort Edward summer staple. Every Thursday 4-7pm from June to September, local vendors and community members gather at the historic barn on Canal Street to support local businesses, enjoy live music and engage in educational activities for children and families.

Bike Rentals

Evergreen Bicycle Works, located at the historic Fort Edward train station, has bikes available for rent for daily use up to a full week. Conveniently located on the Empire State Trail and just minutes from the Feeder Canal/Champlain Canalway Trail, rides to Lake George, Fort Ann, and Schuylerville can easily be done in a day right from their front door.

Adaptive Boat Launch

This summer, a new adaptive boat launch will be installed at the Fort Edward Yacht Basin in the heart of Fort Edward’s downtown, made possible by a Canal Corp Tourism & Amenities grant. Enjoy this great new amenity and make sure to swing by Fort Edward’s local businesses while you’re in town!
